How Do I Appy for a Little Boost?

Step 1: Want a Little Boost. Have a project, organization, or goal you want to achieve that could use a $100 little boost to get you farther faster. Think of the mushrooms in Mario Kart.

Step 2: Submit your application and fee. Yes, you need to apply! Use the provided form to tell us about yourself, your organization/project/goal, and what you would do with the $100. Make it good because that is what people will see if you make it to the top five. The actual winner of the grant is determined by the votes of the people that submitted an application. You choose. You put yourself out there, got in the arena, and braved rejection because you believe in yourself. However, there can only be one winner and you have to choose from the top five who should get the grant this time around. Explore their social media, read their descriptions, and decide if you want your contribution to go towards this project. This grant fund is built primarily funded by those that apply so don’t be afraid to let your vote count. The form you submit will automatically take you to the application fee page. You can submit your $12 application fee there. The money you submit as your application fee goes towards grants in this fund as well as supporting the people who support the fund with their skills.

Step 3: Follow the Coop’s social media (Instagram, Facebook, and Eventbrite page). Aside from the fact that we want you to see what The Community Cooperative is doing out in the world we also want you to see who won! The winner will be announced via Instagram @thecommunitycoop using #littleboost. Winners will be given a week to claim their grant. You definitely don’t want to miss that.

Step 4: Congratulate yourself for contributing. Yup, that’s right. Give yourself a pat on the back and do a little dance. you took a step towards furthering your project. It is more than okay to be happy.

Step 5: Vote for who you want to win. You will be sent an email with the top five grant applications after a primary review from The Community Cooperative so you can vote on the winner. Once the votes are in, we will announce the winner via Instagram The Coop’s page @thecommunitycoop.

BONUS Step: Congratulate the winner. Whether it’s you or another applicant be happy. You voted with your dollar and helped someone reach a goal that lines up with the Coop’s shared mission. It is okay to be proud of some cool thing that your application fee helped build. Thank you for making this little boost possible.

When is the deadline? October 31st is the deadline for the current grant cycle…spooky.

Why did you make this grant? I wanted Coop to continually find new ways to support its community members. We vote with our dollars every day and give hours of our life to support ourselves. It is about time we have a chance to give money to people and projects that really inspire us and embody what we believe. The Community Coop has a lot of “hype men”, people who spend time, money, and energy to build up this amazing this we believe in. We want to do that for you too.
