This class is about “finding your feet” in Brazilian Zouk. We will explore how to shift our bodies to achieve the basic styles of the dance. The class will involve basic steps, exploration of the rhythms, and practicing the steps to music. No prior experience is necessary!

About the Instructor:

Kristen is an innovative and energetic dance instructor teaching Brazilian Zouk Basics this Sunday, at 1:30 pm EST. She has explored the fusion and Latin partner dances from Toronto to Georgia.

Blues and Zouk have been her main dances in the last 5 years. She has also explored some bachata, merengue, west coast swing, east coast swing, ballet, and fusion (which is partner dancing the allows for people to creatively mix styles). She is here in the DMV and online, sharing her experience and passion for dance with you. Once you learn the basics, you will be able to participate in the wider Zouk community on your own!
